TONSILLITIS
TONSILLITIS
Do you feel pain when swallowing? Have your tonsils become
bigger and reddish? Do you experience ear pains, headaches, difficulty in
breathing as you feel your air space is being blocked? Well you might have
developed TONSILLITIS. The human tonsils are
located the back of the throat and their basic function is to produce antibodies
that fight against respiratory infections attacking the body. When the tonsils
are attacked by viral infections and bacteria, the tonsils become infected as
it swells and become reddish with sometimes yellow coated pigment in it, this is what give rise to Tonsillitis.
.
Tonsillitis are mostly common in children but does affect
adults. Tonsillitis at its initial stages are curable when one take antibiotics
but some severe cases may require surgery in which the procedure involves the
removing of the tonsils to get rid of the infection. Tonsillitis are not easy
to detect because the symptoms are likened to that of malaria, typhoid and
other related diseases. The disease is contagious and can be transferred from
an infected person to a healthy person especially through deep kissing, using
of toothbrushes and same materials that comes into contact with the infected
persons mouth. Below is an imagery look of how tonsillitis appears in the mouth..
